Disorder (AD/HD)

and overactivity usually create problems for individuals in many situations including
home, school and work. The client, along with the family, learns how to manage
the symptoms in order to be productive and successful.
Biofeedback
Biofeedback
is a procedure that uses specialized electronic instruments to measure the level
of physiological activity in specific areas of the body. By learning to control
tension levels, an individual can manage physiological reactions to stimulation
and situations which cause stress. These procedures are helpful in the treatment
of stress-related disorders including headaches, gastritis, colitis, muscle tension,
certain vasoconstriction disorders, hypertension and anxiety.
Chemical Dependency
Chemical abuse/dependency is a problem that often requires professional intervention.
Outpatient counseling helps the chemically dependent adult or adolescent and co-dependents
and adult children of alcoholics begin or maintain the recovery process. Individual,
family and group counseling is offered. Chemical dependency assessments and recommendations
are also provided.
Stress Management
Stress management training assists individuals in making lifestyle changes to
manage stress more effectively. Such training is often helpful in managing stress-related
disorders such as headaches, muscular disorders, gastrointestinal disorders and
anxiety or panic attacks. Individuals learn to cope with the emotional and physical
effects of stress. Stress management services include:
