Spring 2008
Dr. Barbara Buchanan spoke to the Moving Ahead Grief Group at The Grief Care Place on Darrow Road in Stow, Ohio. Her topic was "Grief and the Search for Meaning". A dozen members of the group participated in the lecture/discussion format.
Dr. Buchanan encourages the group members to find who they are as individuals; habits, hobbies and new hopes. She also recommended learning new things or being open to new experiences.
Fall 2007
Western Reserve Psychological Associates, Inc. has formed an "Academic Assessment Center" comprised of a group of experienced psychologists who will provide intelligence and achievement as well as vocational interest testing and assessment services. The intelligence and achievement testing can be useful for assessment and documentation of giftedness, learning disabilities and motivational problems. Vocational interest assessments can be helpful for identifying career interests before making course, college, job or career choices.
